Northwood Inn

Ok so i have been living in Mahopac for over 10yrs . I always wanted to try Northwood inn... so i did today. I had the Blackened porkchops. And my wife had the polish platter. Porkchops were good . My wife wasn't Crazy for the stuff cabbage, but i guess its a hit or miss. I tried it, for me it was ok. now as far as the service . Service was decent the bartender was on point so was the owner. For what we had plus mad drinks the price was reasonable. Cozy place and friendly...

Celebrated Mom's 80th birthday with a party here. The owner, Zygmunt made sure everything was exactly how we wanted. The food was all delicious and fresh. Maria our server did an amazing job, keeping on top of 30 people and children. Highly recommend.

I’ve been coming here for years. They have great specials, amazing food and a very good special bar menu. The owner and workers are great people! Wednesdays are buy one burger get one half off, and Thursday is prime rib. Also they have other specials on a board for the full week.

My daughter and her husband took me to Northwood Inn for an Early Mother's Day luncheon. I must say that I can not say enough about how good an experience it was. The atmosphere was lovely, and our waitress was such a very nice and friendly person. As for the food, we were absolutely impressed, from the way the different dishes were displayed to the absolutely GREAT way the food tasted!!! All of our three different meals and several appetizers were wonderful. We ended our meals with coffee and dessert. We had the flavored cheesecake and the chocolate peanut butter pie. Oh my, they tasted delicious . I am only sorry that I didn't take photos of our food, but I can say that from the presentation to the wonderful taste, we were not disappointed!! I took some cards home to give to my friends to tell them about this wonderful restaurant . Thank you, Northwood Inn, for helping to make this Mother's Day outing a wonderful experience !!

Sitting here again in my local bar enjoying the specials and soup with some beer ;which is a shock top:: French fries are Devine and a total win in this place. They make their own potato chips as well. Come for Happy Hour!

It isn’t fancy but they do have Excellent food and a relatively large menu. Most of the main courses are under 20 but the high end specialties are up to 25. So it’s a good deal in today’s environment. The fillet was a nice size and perfectly cooked. The cod came with 6 shrimp. The goulash was excellent. Desert was good. Try the chocolate brownie or the carrot cake. The one downside: service was - how can I say this - leisurely. Don’t go if you are in a rush.

Delicious food with great portions! Also a good selection of Polish beers, some of which aren't easy to find in the US. The outdoor seating area is huge with a large tree in the center and mostly covered so it should be fine in anything short of a full on thunderstorm. Service was a little slow outside which is understandable.

This has become a regular weekend visit for us. Great people, great food and great service. We love it here. We always eat while visiting. All the regulars are super nice as are the bartenders and the owner!!
